Here are some facts you probably didn't know about your toothbrush:

• You should replace your toothbrush or electric toothbrush head every 3 months or when the bristles begin to fray.
• Hard bristles can be painful to your teeth and gums.
• The first toothbrush with bristles was invented in China and was made of animal bone, bamboo, and boar hair.
• Brushing our teeth every day is important. 1 out of 10 people forgets to brush daily.
• There are about 2,500 bristles on any average toothbrush.
• People think that putting a cap on a toothbrush is a good idea, but it is not. This can trap moisture and helps the growth of microbes.
